Pardon our dust as we spruce up the website as your new innkeepers
Check-in begins at 4pm. You will receive instructions on your day of arrival. Self check-in is available anytime 4pm or later. If you arrive early you may park in our lot and walk to town to explore the local shops!
To allow for the property to be properly cleaned and staged for our next guests’ arrivals, earlier check-in times in general cannot be accommodated. Early check-in is available for an additional fee.
Check-out time is 10-11am. We ask guests to leave their room keys in their room or at the designated key drop-off location at the exit doors. There is a $20 fee for all missing or non-returned keys.
We are a smoke-free property. There is no smoking of any kind – medical or otherwise – allowed inside the buildings or the front porch (including e-cigs, vaping, tobacco, marijuana). The designated area for smoking is outside on the side porch and parking lot.
We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file a $250 fee to cover the cost of deep cleaning and/or replacing upholstered furniture, window treatments, rugs, and bedding if it is determined that a guest has violated the property’s policy and smoked in any smoke free location.
Although guests including young children are welcome at our property, at this time only rooms 2, 5 (rollaway cots) and 6 (twin sleeper) can accommodate a third person of any age (1 to 100+) and there is a $95 charge per night. The property does not have high chairs, portable cribs, or a regular children’s menu.
As a legal and licensed hospitality venue, all reservations are subject to the State of Maine’s prevailing lodging and sales tax requirements. The tax is a line item on your receipt.
As a small business, booking directly with us online or over the phone means we receive 100% of what you pay. While booking through a third party site like Expedia or Bookings provides great exposure to our business, they do retain a percentage of what you pay.
The Rockland Talbot House does not honor any third-party gift cards or offer any third-party discounts. The only discounts recognized by the property are for longer stays and may exclude holidays, special event days, and weekend nights.
If cancellation is a possibility or if air travel is part of your vacation, we strongly suggest the purchase of travel insurance. Most credit cards offer this coverage as well as many third party companies.
You can change your reservation or cancel it up to 15 days prior to arrival with a refund minus a small $59 cancellation fee.
If a reservation is cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival there will be no refund. A change is the same as a cancelation.
Reservations for Lobster Festival (July/August), Blues Festival (July), leaf peeping season (September 20-October 20) and all group bookings (2 or more rooms) must be cancelled 61 days in advance of arrival to receive a refund, less a 10% cancellation fee. A change is the same as a cancellation.
